Staffers from many libraries have called & said, "Now that you solved our problems with date due labels with your ergonomic hand-held labelers & 'no-res' adhesive, what can you do about the "NEW" label problem?" "Instead of staying on the flat of the book for 3-4 weeks, it needs to stay on the spine for up to a year(some said 6 months). We also need to be able to tell at a glance exactly 'how new' it really was, & last, but not least, it needs to remove cleanly & easily from polyester & other library asset surfaces with a fingernail or plastic label peeler. It took a while, but the answer became our snr2212YR-NEW n21 or 'n21' as it is known. This product rocketed to out sell all other new labels combined. It stays on the spine for a year or more, yet removes easily & cleanly with just a PLS-1 plastic peeler. It was noted by several female library staffers that the PLS-1 costs only $1.19 each, while fingernails cost $35 every two weeks, so stop suggesting that we use our fingernails. The final requirement was met by the Total Library Labeler which will imprint the day, &/or month, & year of arrival, as it applies & affixes the label to the spine. Most use only month & year (12/2007) on the label.
